As I said in the article, this stuff is substantially less concrete than the micro-black hole stuff, for which there at least exists some papers and wrong calculations that one can find errors in. Here I have to go on the blog posts alone, and that is as concrete as it gets. Gillis has no predictions -- no rate or probability of collapse, no nuclear burning mechanism, nothing.

No one ever "understands" a crackpot but the crackpot himself, and attempting to do so is like staring into the abyss -- it will make you crazy. But, the idea that Helium can explode is specific enough to debunk, as is the claim that a Bose-Nova could occur in Helium.

If you think you understand better than I, please enlighten me...

I kinda enjoy Rössler's style from a social angle, but I do think the "existence" of him points out problems that are beyond science.
